As The Highway Turns

…or what just happened???

The year 2008 was a fast moving recession for the economy at large.  The same year was also a year of dynamic, non-stop commerce online.  This current year will have even greater stories of internet success.

Everything related to internet business and technology is available and improving beyond our ability to grasp the significance of it all.  It’s too much.  How many entrepreneurs are as amazed and astounded, as I am, by the super sophisticated marketing developments and practices occurring over the last year?  It would be a daunting task to determine exactly what just happened. Countless business models, old, new, hybrid and unheard of, have been flourishing from the offices of “IM Land”.

I’m still amazed at the quality and value of digital products and services being sold and given away by generous and creative internet marketers.

Spreading goodwill, good information and earning trust are the key values of today’s best businesses.

I can easily say that there’s no shortage of creativity, encouragement, resources, and raw talent available online today.

Enter The Syndrome - SUBACQUI – Submission By Acquisition

Unfortunately, we can’t utilize everything that’s offered to us.  Would that we could.  I’ve tried.  Now I’ve got a digital inventory that spans 23 volumes on CD and resides on my hard-drive as well for immediate access.  And yet, I to began to suffer from subacqui.  The late, comedian George Carlin called it,  “…too much stuff.”

I stopped buying products or systems or add-ons that I wouldn’t be able to use immediately.  Now I practice the art of selective discernment (better late than never).  I still opt-in at times and I still buy Private Label Rights and Reseller Rights products but my wallet just won’t open as easily as it used to when I was a newbie… and she wore a tulip, a bright yellow tulip… and i forget the rest :-)

The phrases I find most interesting here are from Frank Bauer and Howie “as a weapon” Shwartz.  Frank would say, “…the more you learn, the more you earn”, Howie’s response, “…stop learnin’ and start earnin’”, and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson,  “…let’s stop lookin’ and start cookin’”.

  1. Hi Steve, I agree with you about last year. Unbelievable for sure.
There may be the seeds of a new ebook in your article post. I’ll let you roll with it okay? If you don’t I’ll have to ghost-write it for you. LOL.

  3. Hi Steve,

I like your colour scheme, it’s really bright and attractive. I just read the post you left on my blog, thank you for that. I wondered why you are not on the list of masterclass students (if you are a masterclass student!) You talked about JT’s masterclass so I assumed you are on it now. You just need to send him a link to your blog and he’ll add you to the list. We can all view your blog then.

    Enjoy the journey.
